Jesus knew that there was going to be a day where people actually blamed God for the works of the devil and gave the devil credit for the works of God. There are a lot of people who are confused about the attacks of the enemy. People get sick, get stolen from or go through loss of family and friends and say things like, “God is using this to teach me a lesson.” God is NOT the author of death and destruction—He is the Author of Life. He doesn’t want to kill you, he wants to heal you.
When I was a young man, just barely saved, my grandmother was diagnosed with stage four liver cancer. I got to pray for her on her death bed with family and friends watching and nothing happened. She prematurely passed away in her mid-60s.
In that moment, I had to make a decision. I could hear my heart grieving. I could hear the voice of God comforting and I could hear lies, “See God doesn’t love you. If He would have loved you, He would have done something about that.” When you go through moments like this, the only thing that really matters is the Word of God. I looked up this verse:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 NASB

I realized it was the devil that stole my grandmother’s life. It wasn’t God. I started to stake my claim according to Proverbs 6:30, for seven times the substance that was stolen from my family.
“People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his hunger when he is starving. Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs him all the wealth of his house.” Proverbs 6:30 NIV
I began to pray: “I want my grandmother’s life to be a seed that goes into the ground and bears much fruit. So I claim it as justice and I ask You to give me an anointing for the rest of my life to destroy cancer and to destroy sickness and disease. So God I ask for finances to travel the world and open doors. I ask that you would send me to preach the healing power of God to the nations of the Earth and that my Grandmother’s life that would go into the ground and millions of people would be blessed because of it.”
